Default TPM part numbers

My 08 had nitrogen put in the wheels at the dealer, they installed those wounderful metal valve caps so when I desided to check tire pressure, SNAP, broken valve stem. the part number on my TPM's are 56029465-AB, I can get some 4 free from a buddy, part number 56029465-AC . Are these the same TPM's ? Was told the letters only indicate an engeneering change.

Thanks

Dave

You can just remove the valve stem from his and put then on yours that way you know for sure...(Yes the valve stem is easily removable from the sensors.)

Thanks for the input, I'll try replacing the stem itself

Sound like the new caps didn't fit the stems, so shouldn't the dealer fix (replace) the stem at no charge to you? If a cap is on so tight that the stem breaks when you try to remove it, seems to me it didn't fit the stem in the first place.

I am assuming the tire has to come off the wheel to access the sensor and replace the stem. Am I wrong?

Did you ask for the nitrogen or was it put in before you bought the Jeep?
