Default Towing Mileage Help

I was curious I'm moving to Colorado from Florida for the winter and was thinking about trailering a moving trailer (Uhaul enclosed kind) 10FT. My question is how bad is this on my drivetrain? I'll being towing I assume around 3000 pounds? for about 1800 miles. This is a long drive with a trailer just needed some advice.
Thanks

I"ve towed my pop top travel trailer that far and more; it weighs about 4000 lbs loaded, but I have a brake controller and air bags in the rear suspension to help control trailer sway. If you're considering a U-Haul rental trailer you'll need to have a hard top, since Uhaul will not rent to convertable owners.

What gears and tires and transmission do you have?

4.10's with 30" tires, no worries.

3.21's and 35's, pulling a loaded trailer cross country would likely have you at the dealer for a new tranny.

If you have an auto, remember to turn that OD off!!
And a tranny cooler would also be some cheap insurance.

Thanks for all the help! I have a hardtop. Where can I get the tranny cooler someone else also suggested this.
I have stock Unlimited gears with 35's but I do still have the stock wheels and tires.
Does changing the diff oil help then changing it again when I get there?

probably not, also how many miles do you have on the jk? if you dont have 75000 and up its really not going to make that big of a difference.its always good to put some fresh gear lube in once in a while, but the diffs do not require that much changing of the lube

Since you will be towing, your owner's manual says to put this in the rear diff:
Synthetic Gear & Axle Lubricant (SAE 75W-140)
No need to change it when you get there.

Front isn't doing the pulling unless you're in 4wd towing. Straight/load is on the rear axle. If you have 3.21s and 35's...you're going to tear something up. Trans cooler or not, it's not designed for that.
