Anyone have the installation procedure for installing the two front hooks?
Just wondering what I have to remove and cut in the stock bumper to put these on. I don't have the hole cutouts on my stocker because it came without hooks originally.
Plus, where the spacers/plates go. I assume on the back side but I'd still like to have the instructions just to be sure.

When you remove your bumper, you'll notice guidelines for the area to cut. I remember having to shave off a little bit more than was marked.. but, not much. You'll be fine.. it was a really simple procedure. I used a heat gun and utility knife saw.

 

Cool. So the bumper has to come off first then. I was just wondering if it had to be removed.
Heat gun and utility gun.... interesting. I was going to use my dremel tool or air grinder but I think a heated blade would work alot better on the plastic. Good thinking.

Sweet. This is a good write up. I can't see any pics but it'll be obvious I'm thinking.
Am I reading it right about having to cut out the holes for the hooks and shave somewhere else for the shoulders of the hooks too?

Yes, the shoulders of the hooks need spacing cut on the interior of the bumper. The area is defined by an outlined box (on mine.), so you shouldn't have an issue finding where you have to cut.

 

Not too much snow. We had a couple of storms but only 15-20cm's. The last one we had rain after 20cm's :( I was hoping it was going to stay cold enough to leave it snow. Now, everything is just ice.

Oh well.. I'm sure we'll see some good white stuff soon enough.

 

It's alot easier than it sounds....when I installed mine, I was a little nervous about taking the bumper off and cutting stuff up but once you've got the bumper off you can see what everyone is talking about, and it suddenly becomes very obvious how everything goes back together.

EDIT:
One tip though, only cut the BACK half of the space designated for the hook to poke through.....not the entire thing.

 

Vexel - Really... here in Moncton we've got enough snow to last the winter! 50cm the first storm and approx 25 the 2nd! Enough already!

JK-KJ - That picture is freakin perfect! By looking at the surface of the bumper before installation it appears that the entire square section needs to be removed and that's what I was thinking until I saw this pic! Nice input! Saved me and my bumper from being over cut! Thanks dude!

 

LOL, I actually went down to the local dealer to look at new one before I cut mine up......another tip, be careful when cutting the hole for the "shoulders" of the hook in the inside of the bumper...don't cut too deep or you'll cut through the top side of the bumper and that would not look good at all!
