I also had the water pump chirp and it did not sound at all like that. Hope they find a solution for you soon.

keep me posted mine does the exact same thing at -15 to -30 degrees celcius but not when warm?

Hmmmmm it's been cold here lately too -39 degrees with windchill today.... I've been getting a shorter high squeal noise too when it's been cold... My girlfriend once noticed it and said what was that.... I didn't know. Soooooo if it's a shorter sound it's the water pump? Cause it's cold or because it needs replacing??? Anyone know?????
I'm going to listen tomorrow morning when I start it and see if I hear anything BUT I get the garage tonight so it might not do it.

I had the water pump replaced at 7300 mi. Didn't sound anything like that.
The water pump is a continuous squeal no matter if it's hot or cold.
Hopefully they can get the whales out of your motor.

Dealer couldn't get it to do it today but they went ahead and ordered a pump. .. it's 3 days out so hopefully it fixes it.
