You should be ok as long as your not grossly over. If it bothers you, auto parts stores sell a suction kit

yea i went to autozone and all i could fine was a siphoning kit, but i cant get it down far enough to get to the fluid because something down there is stoppong it, prolly cause the holes meant for a dipstick, not a tube

Yup. Agree on both points.
I have a Pella 6 liter oil extractor. Especially handy for getting the auto tranny fluid down below the pan parting line. Much cleaner way to remove the pan for fluid/filter change.

Edit to add:

ssunde1,

My dip stick tube has no restriction in it. Don't know why yours might.

ill make and educated guess and say maybe 1/5th of a qt. needed to add some, and added about 1/3 qt, but now its over the mark. its about the same distace about the mark as it was below it, thats why im guessing about 1/5th-1/6th over. so i should be okay?

You should be OK as long as you don't overheat the tranny. Overheating with a higher level of fluid will increase the likelihood of spewing out either the dipstick tube, or the vent. That could be bad.

I'm not saying this to scare, but it is a point you need for an informed decision.

if you still want/need to drain some fluid, pull the connection where you installed the cooler.
