Tire upgrade stock jk

I personally recommend the Goodyear Silent Armor tire for your situation. It has two steel belts and one Kevlar belt, has the extreme snow/rain rating and is a good all around A/T tire for moderate off roading. And, of course, it is silent on the road. Check it out on the GY site or any of the rating/review sites. I had them on my '08 JKU and I'm about to put them on my 2012 JKU Sahara.

X2 on the Silent Armor in stock size. 285/70R17 will fit but can rub in tight turns and suspension flex without other small modifications. There are many posts about running 285's. The 285's have a larger selection such as Goodyear DuraTrac and Silent Armor, BFG AT KO's and Rugged Terrain, Dick Cepek Fun Country, Nitto Terra Grappler, etc. For highway and packed snow/ice a less aggressive tread with lots of siping will be ideal such as Silent Armor and Rugged Terrain. More aggressive AT's will do better in the loose stuff but you trade some highway life and get a little more noise but not as bad as mud tires. Sometimes a little extra tire noise can't even be heard over the wind noise created by our aerodynamic-as-a-brick vehicles.

Ok so this is not a question about the biggest tire i can run on a stock jk. I'm looking for more tire options for my jk. There does not seem to be a lot to Choose from in the stock tire size. I'm not lifting so I'm not looking for a bigger tire. I don't want to go down in size but I wouldn't mind going up in size a bit. Help a brotha out
I am not lifting and going to drive monster tires sizes , so I got Duratracks 265/70-17. Better tires than stock and I am happy for upcoming winter trips as well.

X3 on the GoodYear Silent Armor's.
LT275/70R17 was the largest that will fit on mine, and even then I added a small washer to the steering stops to keep from hitting the control arms.
I did a lot measuring, go on fairly rough trails, and they work quite well. When I say largest that will fit, I mean at full flex without rubbing with the stock 17" wheels and original bump-stops. Mine does have a 2" lift, but that doesn't matter since the bump-stops and wheel offset are still stock.
