Tire size question

Tire size question
I have a 2012 Sahara Unlimited and I'm looking to replace the stock tires/wheels. What is the biggest size I can put on without a lift kit? I have 18" wheels & want to keep them. I saw a set of 35"'s on 18 inch wheels but figured they would be too big. Most of my research has found I shouldn't go over 32-33" and want to make sure that's the case.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Im currently running 35's with no lift and the only place I rub is slightly on the front air dam. I cannot go wheeling until I lift it 2.5 inches, but if you are just mall crawling you should have no problem. I just personally like the filled in wheel well look. Good luck finding the right tires.

You can fit 35s without a lift, but they will rub slightly on the air dam (get rid of that anyway) on the road in tight turns. Don't go off road with that setup though, because any flex at all will cause major tire contact. With 33s and no lift, you can do mild, mild wheeling. Again, any kind of crazy flex will cause issues, but you'd be fine on bumpy dirt or small rocks. But if you plan to do any real wheeling, I would get at least a 2" lift, even with 33s.
Personally I think 35s look too big without at least 3" of lift, but that's just my opinion. 33s and 2.5" is perfect for me. Again, just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth ($0.00).

So if you get the terra flex spring leveling kit will 33's fit with out the rubbing issues? Just ordered a 2013 Moab and want to lift it just slightly and put larger tires but nothing to extreme. Thanks!!

I'm also curious too, so here's a bump. I'm looking to run 265/70/18 (32.8) on stock wheels with just a RE 3/4" front coil spacer. I've got a jks track bar already to recenter the front end, mostly cause the stocker was junk, not for the measly lift. I'm not looking to go airborne just run some trails at a moderate noob speed. Thoughts?

I just replaced my factory 255/75/17's with Goodyear Duratrac's 285/70/17
Had to go with small spacers but as soon as they come in I'm going with the mickey Thompson mt-88's for that all black look
I plan on a 2.3"-3.0" lift first thing in the spring...
