How do you re-set it.

You have to air up your tires and if it hasn't been moved for awhile you will have to drive it to wake up the sensors.

Have you had any tire work done lately. Tire shops have been know to break them. If that isn't the case looks like you will have to visit a shop and have them ckeck it out.

Does your spare have the sensor? Did you check it as well?

The spare isn't monitored until it's actually swapped out for one of the four drive wheels. Just a heads up.

My TPMS light has taken as long as two weeks to turn off in the past. It's disabled now, so I don't have to deal with that anymore.

Well I'm not sure, it's just a guess. I don't have it on my JK but my wifes Liberty has the TPMS and it when it came on I checked all of the tires on the ground and they were all good. I checked the spare and it was down to 27 PSI. I put it back up to 33 PSI and the light went off after driving it and it hasn't come back on.
How does it know where the tire is if the sensor is on the other side of the valve stem on all tires? How does it know that it is on the ground as opposed to on the back?

Same with my JK. If the spare is low it WILL trigger the TPMS. It doesn't matter where the sensor is. This is not a "smart" system where the actual position and pressure is known. It is just an alarm that a tire somewhere on the vehicle is low pressure. It takes some movement to turn the sensors on, but not a lot. My spare will trigger the alarm by the time I back out of the garage if the pressure is low.
