Default tire goo

I just had some tires mounted to my sahara painted rims. They used some black goo to seal the tire to the rim. Now its all over my rim How do i get it off without scratching the rim up?

Try a can of brake cleaner from an auto-parts store. You could possibly ask the tire-shop to give you a can, if you complain to the manager.

I had some of this on my wheels after my wheel and tire upgrade, and I just washed the wheels with hot soapy water and it all came off. You do have to keep a different rag or mitt for this as has been stated, or you will have it on everything you rub it against.
