I was glad to find this feature on my '13 JKU again. My '07 Colorado 5 speed had it as well and it was a missed feature on my '07 JK 6 speed.

I like it, too. Once or twice I've turned the key to start when it's already running.... Remember the noise that makes? But nothing happens with the tip start. No more grinding the starter motor.

I was under the impression all JK auto's had it. The wifes 07 JKU auto has it. Just turn the key and let it go, it starts right up.

I'm glad I don't have it. I don't trust the parts that much to turn and let go. The company vehicle has TS and always...ALWAYS takes 30-45 seconds to start....cranking the entire time. No thanks. I'll hold my key and she's puring

If you ask my girlfriend she might have a different definition of tip start. Lmfao!

Tip start shuts off after ten seconds if it doesn't catch.

Your company vehicle (JK?) might need some servicing.

It stops trying after ten seconds if it hasn't turned over. So it won't keep trying and kill the battery. Mine catches instantaneously. If I had to hold the key to start for ten seconds or more I'd be wondering what was wrong with the engine.
It's all drive by wire anyway. No big deal. Certainly not new tech.

I have to agree. This seems like a dumb option. Kind of like thier cruise control for off roading!

Not an option, every automatic JK has it. Probably extend that to all auto Dodge-Jeep-Chrysler since 07 or earlier, but that's a guess. Mercedes had it in 1999. It's just push-button starting. Been around in one form or another for quite a while. Doesn't seem to be causing any rash of problems.
