Tie rod
Hey guys jyst wondering. I have a 2011 jeep wrangler unlimited. And noticed my driver side tie rod has play where it meets the adjustment sleeve. There is a decent amount of threads showing in the actual tie rod. And the adjustment sleeve is screwed all the way into the bar that runs to the pass wheel. Us this normal or should the adjustment bolt/sleeve be screwed further onto the tie rod itself.

Regardless... I assume you're referring to part number 11 on the diagram at this link? As said, all of the parts that make up the tie rod should be tight.

Yes where part 11 and 12 meet. If i lay down and grab the tie rod i can move it up and down. Not much but enough to move it. And if i twist it i can see the sleeve thread up on the tie rod. Its like the tie rod isnt the right size thread or the sleeve should be tighter on the tie rod threads

Yes the clamp is there and it is tight. The sleeve itself is def tight. Its just where the tie rod screws into the sleeve. Should there be a nut or something that tightns to tie rod to the sleeve
