Ever since it has gotten colder here in louisiana, when I first start my jeep and go there is a ticking noise when I accelerate, after jeep warms up ticking stops. Anything to be worried about? 2011 sahara 2 door 27k miles. Thanks!!

Your description reminds me about stories of cracked exhaust manifolds.

Auto or manual. Mine started making a ticking noise while accelerating in 1,2,3 gears. 2011 manual sport. Goes away after its warmed up.

I have a wj that in cold weather it has a ticking sound and its actually from a emissions component. Sounds like an engine knock till it warms up. Just bought a 2011 jk with 22k miles it just cooled off here havnt had any ticking so far will know more tomorrow as it will be colder.

Freezing temperatures here past two nights and no knock or ticking here. I do warm my jeep up before I drive. Someone else said cracked manifold, my wj had a broken bolt that allowed the exhaust manifold to leak till it warms up and quieted down. Good luck let us know what you find.
