Default Throw out bearing making noise

On my 2008 wrangler the throw out bearing is making a ticking Noise. Does anyone know if the dealer will warrenty that part. Or will they charge me for a clutch job. I know it's the throw out bearing because the noise goes away with the slightest touch of the clutch pedal.

That will probably be covered under the 6 speed transmission TSB. Check it out on project-jk, if you haven't already.

I have the same problem on my 07 Sahara 2dr. I am out of warranty so does the TSB still cover this repair?

yeah, I don't believe you need a warranty to get TSB work done. From what I understand, its more like a recall than warranty work.

Sorry to dig this thread up...

Can anyone offer a definitive answer to this? My Jeep is squealing pretty bad, bad enough where I have to lightly touch the clutch peddle to order my Dunkin Donuts Coffee at the Drive thru

The dealer says that TSB's are different and would only be covered in the first 12 months/12,000 miles

Now keep in mind my 2008 has 7,200 miles on it but was in service 1/08

Any guidance?

You might be SOL, the TSB is not a recall and I know my clutch throw-out squealed just over the mileage but my dealership was good enough to replace it under warranty and have replaced a total of 3 times as it was noted down. However, I am totally off bumper to bumper warranty and would be SOL if my throw-out bearing calved again. I know if my clutch squeals again...it will be time for a centerforce clutch.

However, you have such low mileage and technically it should be bumper to bumper...you can try and see if they will cover it worth a shot!.
