thanks alot for the brake cleaner trick. i had been readjusting the ebrake pads continuously with no success. i read the detailed ebrake info but what exactly is the brake cleaner doing (other than working)?

If you are referring to spraying the brake cleaner on the e-brake clutch spring at the base of the e-brake lever, the cleaner is removing dust and oily residue from the clutch spring/cable drum contact surface. This will allow the spring to get a better grip on the cable drum.
