Default Take the deal or Lemon law ?

2011 2 door softtop has leaked since I bought it at the end of August (got the zero percent interest). 8 trips to the dealer, multiple parts replaced and 3 experts later it still has serious leaks.
Chrysler will Trade me for a new 2012 and finance my existing balance but this time with interest, so I will lose a couple thousand in the process. If I
understand lemon law correctly, I could get a new one in an even exchange but it could take 2 to 8 months.
Take the deal or deal with the lawyers?

Why don't they just replace the top? It is alot easier and by now they should have. If it leaking at the seams? If it was at the stiching they would replace it. But if it was a cut they wouldn't.

Default replace top?

I guess they are tired of seeing me. They have replace the header seal, door weatherstrip seal, left front door seal, left door frame rail, left header seal, right window frame rail, left side weatherstrip, right door seal and secondary door weatherstrip. No one ever talked about the top itself.

Be sure you completely understand the Lemon Law in your state. Most have a time/mileage limit.

I don't understand why they didn't just replace the top. That may have solved the problem. At this point, I think I would get the 12 and be done with it.

The tricky part with the lemon law is it has to pose a serious safety hazard, at least in FL. I lemon-lawed my 08 350Z and it wasn't too difficult once I got past the documentation stage, but the reason I won was because my engine was burning oil (4qts every 1000 miles). I would read up on your state's lemon laws and see who has had success. I have a feeling that a leaky convertible top may not cut it. I could be wrong though.

That said, I would take the deal. But I would ask them to honor the 0% or offer you a cash amount equal to what the interest will cost you. You might not get it, but it won't hurt to ask.
