Default sway lights stays flashing

I got back from the 2nd annual Newbie run and after pushing the button on my rubicon for connecting the sway bar back, the lights just keeps flashing. is there something im doing wrong? has anyone else had this problem? it should turn off after pressing it again right?

Of course make sure you are on level ground,,, if you got into any mud or water you might want to pop the connector off the sway bar disconnect motor and blow it out with a little compressed air.

ok, i will try that. i started looking at past threads that were related to the same mechanism and it seems like a lot of Rubicons have that same problem. i wonder if theres a recall on that? man we pay so much for these vehicles for them not to work the way they are suppose to.

I also noticed this weekend during the newbie trip that there was a loud grinding/cracking noice coming from the front area while i was going thru the rock section. i wonder if all of this is related somehow? although i did notice that it only did it when i activated the lockers.

Yikes! You should not hear any grinding noises from your sway bar disconnect or lockers. The only time you should hear grinding is when you have engaged the skid plate

As in engaged it to do what it is required to do....protect your expensive parts from the rocks below. Or to be more precise....skidded the plate on something hard and ugly.

If your sway bar disco light is still flashing, try turning a fairly tight circle on level ground, slowly. This happened to me last weekend and it stayed on until I did that.

cool, I will try that. i tried the other suggestions but either i did it wrong or didnt want to break anything, so i was too careful. but towards the end of the night i was already leaning towards the hammer suggestion. i will try the slow circles.

You guys are not going to believe this. My wife hit a curb and the light turned off. she said it was an accident but yeah right, the tires walls are always white. she first tries to tell me that she fixed it, and she figured it out, but she forgot to wipe the tire down. man i gave her a hard time.
