Default Stupid horn????

so yesterday afternoon while we here in Philly were getting rained upon by the remnants of tropical storm whatever, my horn just randomly started sounding.

i dont have a security system, so that wasnt the culprit. and then i went to pick up my kids and it started sounding while i was driving....

i pulled over and yanked the wires off the horn and that seemed to solve the issue, albeit temporarily.....

any ideas?

Several threads you can research on this. Seems to be an issue for those of you in places where it actually rains.

Default stupid horn???

i'd check the relay first might have gotten corrosion and stuck the contacts. in my experience if the horn itself gets wet it won't blow or blows weakly.

This just happened to me. I let it dry out and it came back to life. I did have the luxury of letting it dry out completely before I reconnected the battery.

My horn has never done that, but it's been replaced under warranty once and generally gets stupid and barely audible when I wheel and it gets a little wet. I'm considering a massive airhorn.

i called the stealership today to make an appointment to get the horn fixed, as well as the annual inspection. the service clerk said "this happened to you before, right?"

this is in fact the second time my horn has died. the first time it just stopped, this time it was randomly sounding before.

ill let you all know tomorrow
