Default Is the stock Transmission cooler in Jeep Wrangler unlimited JK rubicon recon enough?

I am considering getting a small travel trailer or camper to pull with my 2018 Jeep Wrangler unlimited rubicon recon, I know the towing capacity is 3500lbs and it appears to have come standard with a transmission cooler installed, is this cooler adequate? Or should I replace it with an aftermarket transmission cooler kit?

I towed a 4000-5000 pound toy hauler all over the east coast with my 2012 Jku. Some of that was in the heat of July and August. I had a manual transmission. I probably towed that trailer a combined 6000 miles. My Jeep was stock except for the smittybilt xrc rear bumper. I never had a problem with anything overheating. You will want to run synthetic in your rear differential.

I have an 18 rubicon recon and tranny temps never went up when towing my Aliner camper. I towed a jayco 195rb with my 2014 jkur with no problems and it was 3500 lb

I towed my Casita 17 camper (2300lbs) with my 2012 Rubicon jku, I have warn elite front and rear bumpers and a Garvin expedition cargo rack and 35’s. It towed the camper ok, but we live in the mountains. I’ve got 70k on my rig and have a trans cooler factory installed and will be dropping $3500 on getting my transmission rebuilt this week. Transmission guy said he’s worked on tons of jeeps because of the shitty Mercedes transmission they put in them, he also joked and said 3500lbs should include the weight of the Jeep.

that is funny because the auto trannies on the 3.6L models are generally thought to be excellent transmissions with a great track record. many say that was the only good thing that came out of the mercedes merger.

the 3500-lb rating is with trailer brakes.
