Stock rock rails

Stock rock rails
We still have stock rock rails on our 2008 Rubicon 4 door. I would like to know how strong these rails are if we went over a rock with them. On a scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent), what is your opinion. We don't do a lot of rock crawling but do drive lots of mountain trails exploring ghost town sites and prospecting. If we snag a rock will these stock rails do the job or should we consider replacing them? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks

I have no experience with mine yet, but I have read posts on this forum that say you can't use a hi-lift jack on them because it will bend the mounting tabs.
I don't think you can drop the truck onto them, but for the occasional bump / rub I think they should be fine.

Ive used mine more then a handful of times, they are stronger then most give them credit for.
I'd rate them a 7.5 for strength and protection...Ive rate them higher if they stuck out further.
Ive dropped my Jeep on them a couple times, landing on rocks.
Ive slid sideways into a rock once, and then continued forward dragging the rail along the rock.
Ive used the rock rail to pivot turn my Jeep around a tree before.
So....they have held up good so far, thanks to them I have no body damage at all, not even a scratch (that hasn't buffed out)
I have not dented or bent either of the rails, just scratched them up some, but a little black spray paint fixes them right up

I have used mine (albeit not intentionally) and i was very glad they were there. They have held up very well on going over granite outcropping. i have slid them over numerous outcrops. I would rate them 7.5 as well.
