Default Stock hitch light plug location

Last night I put together and installed a storage rack that installed in the stock receiver hitch. Holds 500lbs! It slid in nicely but when I tried to use my hitch lock I had a very hard time getting around the light plug. I managed to wiggle the shaft past the plug ... anyway since it was night out and getting late I decided to find out if anyone else has had a similar issue w/ the light plug being in the way. I plan on relocating a few inches away from the hitch. I imagine it's drilled into the metal bumper. Anything to worry about?

Hmmm, I have a 2dr and I slide the pin in from the right (passenger side) and then slip the lock pin through. Yeah the plug is close.

I was just going to move it over but higher up on the bumper is a better idea. No need getting it wet when I don't have to putting my boat in. Thanks for the idea.

I got up to the mountains w/ my new rack and noticed I was missing the lock on the hitch lock. It was so awkward putting the lock on it didn't grab when I though it was locked on. I still have the shaft of the lock holding the rack in thanks to the light plug. So I went out and bought a new hitch lock by master which is shaped w/ a bent portion that easily fits on either direction and doesn't interfere with the plug. So I may not do anything and leave it be.
