Default Stock Fog Light Wiring help

I bought a set of factory fogs off another member. Does anyone know if the factory wiring is in the jeep if you didn't order the fogs? If it is does anyone know how to wire them up so that the will work?

I just received that one, havent had a chance to read it though. To the best of my knowledge the wiring is not installed at the factory unless the Jeep is ordered with that option. ~ Doesnt mean some dont get built that way though, they may have just gotten lucky.

As for the lights, you can always just wire them up seperately from factory wiring with a fuse, relay and switch like any aftermarket light kit. You may even be able to pick up the wiring harness seperately like from KC or something if you dont want to build it yourself. (Probably going to run you in the neighborhood of $30-50 though) Individual pieces parts i dont know prices on, i had some lying about.

The bulb plugs are standard H10's, you should be able to get those from any auto parts store.

Since the factory lights are (I believe)55W, and it's a 12V system.

W/V=A

2x55W/12V = 110/12=9.17A

so 10A would be minimum size, without any fudgefactor.

I dont know what the factory fuse size is. ~ couldnt find it right off

My 100W KC's have a 25A inline fuse from the factory, that actually works out to 16.67A, so they went up in size some.

I think a 10 would work. Maybe I'll use a 15 to be safe.

I went home & checked the JP Magazine article you where refering to. As it turns out, if you look closely in the photo where the original bumper is being pulled off, it does in fact have foglights (besides the fact that it is a Rubicon, so they come standard)

*CAUTION* From what i understand, that bundle of wires that goes across the inside of the front bumper is the ESP/ABS wiring for the front sensors. It only contains the foglight wiring if that option was ordered from the factory, otherwise the wires dont exist. So use extreme caution if you are going to hack into that bundle for some odd reason.

If anyone has differing information, please speak up.
