Default Steering Wheel Leather

Not sure if this fits here but this is on a brand new wrangler < 500 miles and 1 week. Steering wheel started to chip in a few areas. Dealer said to wait and use some shoe polish, what do you think? Another dealer?

Try another dealer if that one wont warranty your steering wheel. Shoe polish is a horrible idea!

That is what I am going to do. I had an issue with my rear soft top window and stopped by another dealer (this is within 1 week) while driving around and they put the claim in no questions asked. Their body shop submits their trim and glass claims and did not realize they are not open on Sat or after 5 which makes it difficult for me to go there (was off last week).

Went to the original dealer and they just brushed me off and told me to use shoe polish. I almost laughed... This is a brand new Jeep. If I do it, it's a different story.

I e-mailed another and they said bring it in... If they help me they will get my business and the other dealer where I bought the car will lose it.

take it to another dealer. I have 29k miles on my 2010 and not a single blemish on my leather steering wheel. Those look like some pretty sharp fingernails though.

They look sharper than they are. I can assure you they did not do any damage.

Some people have told me just to ignore it. My main issue is i is a 10 day old vehicle. If I did it, different story.

I am also a bit angry that the dealer where I purchased it refused to even submit a claim and told me to use shoe polish.

Lucky I snapped a pic when it was just a few white dots. Just hope they don't say I scratched it.

The one I am going to tomorrow after work will send pics to Chrysler. Not sure why that have to go through a whole process for a new car.

Wheel being replaced. No questions asked. Chrysler approved same day.

Good to see them stand behind their product.

I had a similar issue on my 09. The dealer replaced the wheel in 2012 (as it was still under warranty). Glad they fixed it, can't imagine a dealer turned you away 10 days after purchase, that's insane.
