Default Squeaking from 1500-2000 RPM?

When I'm accelerating from 1500-2000 RPMs theres this squeaking coming from the engine. I've heard that it may be the clutch... anyone having this same problem?

Mine does the same thing and it's an Auto. very annoying sound ... I've tried shifting into nuetral while accelerating and it still does it, so i'm thinking it might be the belt.

One fix was to reroute the cables buy the transmission. I am starting to think that it is a trans mount issue. I might try to look at it this weekend.

Could it be the clutch? I'm bringing into the dealership in Wednesday... I'll let you all know what happens.

brought mine to the dealer yesterday, after a week waiting for the dealer to get the correct parts. after two hours the service manager calls me and tells me that the squeak was coming from some bearing in the transmission(which they had dropped out of the jeep) and that they had to order another part. so it went frpm a one day trip to the dealer to a four day event, told me the earliest i can expect to get it back is monday.

they gave me a POS Liberty to drive in the meantime and free oil change and lube job for my troubles. Thanks alot.

i will let you know how it turns out when i finally get it back

also have them "fixing" the leak by the A pillars, replacing the rear window clips, and taking care of a squeak i heard going over very small bumps(imagine on the trail) and the wind noise coming through near the top front windshield

all by the way under warranty, on there time and $

good luck and hoped this helped

Ya dealer told me that it was throw out bearing b.s. mines been replaced 2 times still doing it. Im begginning to think that it is some sort of mount in the tranny or back of the engine. but ill keep bringing it in to the dealer till i trade the damn thing in before D.C. ever fixes it.

guys, ALL of you - try doing another forum search. i'm willing to bet all of you have cold air intakes (CAI). it's just a feature of these wonderful devices. it seems that most people have this issue with the CAI whistling/squealing and that the general consensus is to "learn to love it".

in the year or so that i've been reading this forum (including before i joined), the ONLY thing i've read that specifically causes a squeal in that range of rpm's is a CAI. after weighing the goods and the bads, most people just grin and bear it.

Explain why vehicles off the lot have this.. he's talking about a squeak not a squeal. To very different things... One thing is certain, nobody on here knows the fix or what is is forsure so we just have to wait until DC figures it out soon.. hopefully soon, its driving me nuts
