From looking at the mopar parts pdf for the 07' JK the springs on all JKs are the same. 2dr/4dr/2wd/4wd/ all the same.
There are a boatload of different shock part numbers though. For whatever reason there seems to be a split in part numbers on 01-15-07. JKs made before that date have different shock part numbers than ones made after that date.

This debate was started with the TJ. Rubi shocks and springs are not any better than a Sahara or an X, they will not provide any lift.

Wow, lots of good stuff, but the question still remains unanswered.
Is it a waste of $100 to buy the shocks and springs from a Rubi and put them on my X when I do the TF BB?
Are the shocks alone worth the $100 or should I just get the TF kit with new shocks instead of using the shock extendors?
The TF BB without shocks is $225 and $365 with shocks. Is it worth the extra $140 to get the TF shocks in the kit or get the Rubi shocks/springs or just use what I have with the extendore and save the $140

TF BB with Rubi shocks/springs $325

You are welcome to drive my X with Rubi shocks if it will help you at all. In hindsight, as much $$$ as I have spent on other stuff I would have waited and gone with a good set of monotubes. But most of the time I have less patience than my 2 year old

I too wonder if Rubi shocks/springs would be a valid "upgrade" for the X. But no one seems to be able to answer this question: the 17" wheel package upgrade on my '07 X came with "Heavy-Duty Suspension with Gas Shocks". I'm curious as to whether those gas shocks would be the same as what came on a Rubi?
I measeured them when I put my BB on and took back the shocks that came with my BB cuz they were the exact same length as my Rubi's.

Another question: I have a Shrockworks mid-width bumper on order. The Shrockworks (without winch) is approximately 60-65lbs heavier than the stock bumper. I'm thinking that difference will cause some sag on the front. So I wonder if stock Rubi shocks (and/or springs) would be able to compensate for that bit of sag?

A small additional spacer is your best bet.

Ok,,I finally got my rubi shocks and springs yesterday.
First off I discovered the rear springs on my X are identical to the ones from the Rubi. The fronts seem to be a bit taller, and different part number,
Took about an hour to install all four shocks..real easy.
I discovered the rubi red shocks to be about a maybe the most 1/4 taller and alot firmer. The stock x shocks we very weak. You are able to push together with your arms.. The rubi shocks needed your body wieght.
Huge huge difference in ride. Much better feel, handling, and bump feel. No more bounce alot more controlled. I highly recommend.
