Software upgrade = More power?
I had the dealer put my snow tires on this weekend. They also said there was a software upgrade available for my JK.
Ever since the upgrade I have noticed my Jeep has a lot more pull, especially at low RPMs. It feels like I got another 10 or 15 HP.
Anyone else notice this after the upgrade?
They could not tell me anything about the upgrade, like what it was supposed to fix, or what version.

It must be fairly recent, since I was in for an oil change 3 weeks or so ago, and there was no mention of it.
Just went out for lunch, and was enjoying the new power. It's definitely different.

Courtesy Upgrade.
I went in to service my TIPM and they reflashed for the transmission hot oil recall and a courtesy upgrade.... it's listed on the invioce of work done to the Jeep. I can tell on the stock 32's the shift points seem different and It definetly has more power on the low end. ????? not sure what they did, but

There definitely is a new factory tune. Just had the hot oil recall done and the tech "updated" my ECU as well.
Once that was done my Superchips would no longer install because it did not recognize the new factory tune. I had to wait for Superchips to catch up to the updates before I could reinstall it.
The new tune is surprisingly close to the Superchips 87 tune. And the update also got rid of that annoying erroneous "bing" tone that would go off once or twice a week. I would highly recommend getting the update.
And although the tune seems very simular to the Superchips 87 tune, the shift points of the Superchips is still primo
