Gotta love it when people chime in with completely useless comments like "you wash your jeep"... Jimmy Cleans carwashes do fine with the soft top as long as you don't do the ultimate wash with high speed blow dry.

Straight swap for a hard top, the value alone makes that a no-brainer. Like others said, do the deal, buy another softy if you want it, but value wise you're ahead of the game with an undamaged hard top over a soft top. Do it!!!

You live in GA...don't need a hard top down here in the south. I say trade for the hard top and pick up the trek top as suggested earlier in the thread. Hard top on 4dr jeep just makes it an SUV....IF i ever go with a hard top thing it'd have to be the wildboar fastback. I get way to many complements on my trektop

you need more than just that hardtop for it to function properly... you need a wiring harness, new evac cluster(for the rear defrost), new steering column wiper control (for the rear wiper) and the tube that goes to the back for the mister.... its more than just getting a top...

with all that said, i couldnt live without my hard top.

both is definitely best... winter or long, long, road trips hardtop... Summer I roll with the Soft top down, mesh bikini up, with soft half doors and the uppers in back, for when it rains...

How is the quality if a trek top? Is it easy to put on and does it leak or does water pool on urs? Please let me know cause I have been leaning towards that

It was a little tough to get it on the first time mainly because I did it in December and the fabric was really tight...left it in the bathroom over night with the heater on and it gave me some flex and I got it on...you wouldn't have the problem installing in the summer. My factory top leaked in the center all over my dash and on the door seals....could never get it to seal.

Put the trek and No leaks...I must say the biggest down fall is that it's frameless so the water does pool which sucks. Found two solutions. Start you jeep up, crank up the AC as high as possible and close the door and stand back and watch the water poor off the top. If I know it's going to rain I took a couple pieces of pvc pipe and put a rubber topper on it and place one on the driver seat and on the passenger seat and this holds the top up so the water can't pool....

I knew I'd face problems with the water pooling because the frameless top but I couldn't be happier with my purchase....and the new nx-trektop will have removable side windows
