i tryed putting my soft top down a little while ago and i can seem to get the side plastic over top the driver and passenger door off, idk if its because the soft top is tight or what, any ideas on how to loosen it up

The warmer it is the easier it is to get it off. Pull down and up.

Unhook the front latches over the windshield first(in case you haven't). Also, check to see if the support bar/bracket across the top is popped up because that can create extra tension upwards, making it harder to pull the side clips out of the door surrounds. I usually start at the corner closest to the front of the jeep and work my way back to unhook it.

Way too cold to take the top off. It would be even harder to put it back on.

Don't take it off in 30 deg weather, you won't get it back on. You will have a good chance of breaking or tearing something in the process. Wait for summer when it matters.
