Hey JeepaRoo,
From what I've seen, the steel header's been in use stock since the '09 model (soft-top itself seems a little different where it meets the A-Pillar <?>), the 2010's have a new spring-loaded cable system instead of retaining flaps along the upper edge of the doors;
There are a few threads on the forum about the differences with the new 2010 soft-top (judging by your sig, you already know )

My Jeep only has one small spot on the drivers side door where there is a leak. Whats weird is that in the car wash it doesnt seem to leak, only when it rains.
Anyway, I'm also having a bit of a whistle but not consistently. My Jeep is under warranty and I have an appointment for next week to have them "fix" it. LOL I'm a more than a little apprehensive about leaving my Jeep in their hands, considering when I called to tell them about it, the service guy asked if my Jeep had the power or manual soft top!
Im afraid if they mess with it they will probably make it worse....

Just bought a 2007 unlimited sahara three weeks ago. Raining right now and leeking above the door handles. also wind noise from the header when deiving. My jeep is out of warranty. Did anybody else get this covered after warranty was up and how? Thanks

Another believer here! I went by my local dealer tonight and picked up the new header kit for $98!! This piece is a much better design...not only is it metal but when the old and new headers are facing each other, you can see how much difference there is. The new piece is formed to sit lower in the center and much tighter around the corners.
I got mine tore apart tonight...I will finish up tomorrow and take some more pics of the new header position when closed.

I had the dealer install the metal header on my soft top, and I have a loud whistle coming from right above the driver visor. It may be because the top needs to stretch out, but I don't think the metal header is a cure all

I put the new header on this morning...the process is a little slow but nothing hard about it. All I can say is wow! When I had everything back together I went for a drive down the interstate @ 65-75 mph and the wind noise is 95-98% GONE! it's not a cure all, but it is definitely worth it IMHO!

X2 on this. Would like mine fixed for free if possible since it seems it was Chrysler's mistake

I would think pretty good if you go in before April. After that I think it depends on the original sale date (original 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty transfers to new owner).
