If you having trouble with the soft top being too hot I use the sunrider function and then when I want to go and use the A/C. I close it up and start driving that way the inside of the jeep isn't hot at all just a little warm. I find my softtop cooler inside than my friends hard top after its baked after school. I live in AZ it gets like 115 degrees out here.

I have both, and I find soft top to be warmer. Hard top cools faster IMO. Definately not scientific though.

The soft top may not be cooler temp-wise but it is cooler when it comes off when the sun is out and whatnot

I live in AZ, I have both tops, and I can say that the hard top gets hotter than the soft top.
