Running a stock air intake on a 2009 Jk, any problems with snow and ice build up running in any snow storms? Getting to that season here in Wisconsin and want to be prepared, had a Ford that in a bad storm would choke off really bad with sucking up all that moisture. I have a Ford Ranger that I have the air pickup drawing from on top of the exhaust manifold during the winter to prevent carb icing and snow build up. I'm not woried about power or fuel mileage but keeping the engine running and not choking off from lack of air from ice blockage.

 

Had the worst snow fall in more then a decade last winter here in Ottawa Canada, which is more then any state in the US will ever see other then Alaska.
Never sucked up any snow or moisture so no, you shouldn't have any problems this year.

 

I've had snow on my airaid cai but not nearly enough to choke it up.

 

How much did you get? Plenty of states that get 20+ feet in areas.

 

There were parts of NY that got 8 foot just in one storm last year!!!

 

Never had any issues w/ the stocker, and I live in the "snow belt" region of NE Ohio.

 

Yup and you watch, this year with my new Jeep this'll be the only dump we get!!!

Didn't have 8 feet last winter, but we got some wicked blowing snow up north. No problems. You should be alright.
