Default shriek while accelerating
high pitched noise during acceleration. does it in every gear. happens more on hot days. goes away when i let off the gas then comes back immediately when pedal is pressed.

Probably an idler pulley or bearing going bad in a water pump. Pitch would change depending on RPM.

i had the water pump replaced not that long ago

Is it a manual transmission. If so check the throw out bearing.
