Shimmy In Stick With 5th and 6th gear Engagment.
Hello y'all, my rig has almost 100k on her and I started to have this shimmy feeling in my gear shifter when engaging 5th and 6th gear. No other gears do it just those two. I know I need to replace my clutch here soon but would doing that resolve this issue?
Thank you,
Kyle

I don't think there's enough info to know, really.
Does it feel like you're losing power/RPM's shoot up when you feel the shimmy or at any other time? (This might be the clutch slipping).
'Shimmy' can be all sorts of things. Might also be the trans mount going bad.
Could be u-joints in the driveshaft wearing out, this causes a vibration in the driveline, but when it gets bad, you can usually feel it coming straight up through the chassis, feel it in the seat, etc (and they make noise when they get real bad).

I'm not losing power nor are my RPMS shooting up when engaging clutch. I only feel it in the shifter of the transmission and no where else in the vehicle.
