Default Seafoam, TB clean, Oil Change and Tune UP...

I want to do some needed maintenance on my 106k mile daily driver... This jeep gets driven 40mi. daily and abused weekly. The engine is coated in mud, so I will start with a medium pressure wash using Simple Green and a soft brush- Next?

1... Seafoam engine through crank case, fuel system and brake booster evap line- PROPERLY
2... Clean throttle body and K&N filter
3... Change spark plugs and wires

RUN ABOUT 50 MILES TO CYCLE FUEL AND OIL THROUGH FILTERS

4... Change oil and filter
5... Change fuel filter

DOES THIS SEEM LOGICAL TO YALL?

The jk has a non serviceable fuel filter. It's part of the fuel pump and is a lifetime filter as long as u don't have issues. Other than that your list looks good!

I would run seafoam through the gas tank, and pick up a bottle of Mopar combustion chamber cleaner to run through the engine. It does a great job

Default Sea Foam thru the gas tank?

I have only heard of spraying it in the intake and intake tube?

You shouldn't SPRAY the intake- that's why you use the vacuum tube. Spraying into your electric throttle body can allow seepage and deterioration of the tiny gears. $$$. i would put it in the crank case and vacuum hose- and the fuel tank.

How about also checking to see if the PCV needs replacing, a coolant flush and running 5w-30 oil instead of the 5w-20 weight when you change your oil...

Default I've considered it...

Thanks for saying PCV, I knew I was forgetting that...

As far as the heavier weight- I dunno. I don't let my engine warm up too much generaly in the mornings, and have no oil consumption issues- but it is HOT and I do ALOT of traffic.

Heavier engine and fluid diffs might be on time.

Don't bother just inspecting the PCV valve; might as well change it.

5 years is time to change out the coolant. And the Brake fluid.

Did you say you'll change the t-case oil?

Take a good look at your serpentine belt, too.

Sounds like fun to me!

Check your hoses too... they tend to break down from the inside out. If you can squeeze them and they feel spongy then they need to be changed out.

imo stay away from seafoam , if you want to clean your fuel and intake system use a bottle of good gasoline additive like lucas and be done with it .its all you need . the other items are good preventatives
