Exclamation Scary thing happened to me yesterday...

I was at a stop sign. Went to accelerate through the intersection and my Wrangler stalled right as I entered the intersection. It was sitting at around 3 to 400 rpms and wouldn't move. Tried putting the clutch in with no luck. Then I released the cutch and hit the brake until it stalled. Restarted the jeep and high tailed it out of the intersection. All this was going on while a dump truck was coming at me. Scared the crap out of me.

The same thing happened to me a month or two ago. My build date is 3/21/07. Totally unexpected. Fortunately, oncoming traffic stopped, but it scares me because what if they were unable to stop in that distance.

I purchased my Jeep in October. Already had to replace the engine (@ 2k miles). My oil pump went out. They flashed my chip at that time.

Agreed... major pucker factor.

I've heard that on other manuals.
