I have a 09 unlimited X with Tow package & 3:73 Trak Loc.
It came with the 16" steelies.

Would my jeep have thicker / different coil springs then another X unlimited that didn't have the tow package with the 3:21's?

I forgot where I read it, but apparently there are about 24-28 different suspension setups for the JK depending on the build.

To get a build sheet, did you call the dealership to get it ?

Spetz,

I first called the dealer for the build sheet but they could not get it. I then called Chrysler/Jeep customer service who then referred me to fill out an email request form on the Jeep website. Go to jeep.com, pick "For Owners" in the top right, then pick "Contact Us" on the top left, then pick "I need CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE", then pick "Send us an Email". This will bring up a form where you fill in info about you and your jeep and a comment section. The comment section is where I asked for the build sheet information on my jeep since I was not the original owner.

They responded fairly quickly both on my initial request and later for a couple of questions I had following receiving it.

They did not know exactly what the "heavy duty suspension w/gas shocks" that was listed on my build sheet meant though. Does anyone know specifically what this might be?

2007 X's made it out of the factory with the HD springs. When I bought mine, I was told mid build mine was changed to a X. But I didn't have a tow package but do have the Rubicon Soft top springs. When I set my hard top on it, it sits down an inch and on cold days it will beat you up a little. Best part on mine is 4.10s and coils

My 2009 X came with factory tow package, anti sway, hard top only.

3.73 and Normal Duty Suspension. They might have heavier spring rates then non tow packaged ones, but they don't have "heavy duty" springs.
My information is from my build sheet.

Looks like the answer is "depends".
