Rubicon Unlimited Springs on 2 Door X
Ok...so i plan on putting some Rubicon Unlimited springs on my 2 door X. I got them from a member on here, they are 17 & 18 front and 59 rear. The X currently has 13 & 14 front and 55 rear. I also ordered a TeraFlex leveling kit to put on with the springs. So here are the question that I have:
1. Will my stock shocks work with this setup?
2. Should I buy stock Rubicon shocks?
3. Any difference between 2 door or 4 door Rubicon shocks?
4. Anyone have experience with these setups?
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks
Justin

1.)yes
2.)yes
3.)no
4.)yes, This is what I run, it is bumpy, rough, but will allow you to clear 35's. Im my personal opinion I should have save my mula and gotten a more complete lift.
however I spent 200 dollars on this set up for 3 is inches of lift so it was awesome for a budget boost

Stock Shocks should've fine... You could always get shock extensions...
Save your money on rubicon shocks.... Go aftermarket.. Like a bilstien...
Lots of people swap the unlimited springs into the two door... It's stiffer and you get about an inch or two lift... It's like a leveling kit on it's own. You may need to add about a Half inch or so to the rear to keep it level.

In terms of the bilstien shocks what would be the proper length to purchase.

We drive a 2 door mountain, which is based on the sport s package. The jeep has rubi shocks and tires, and drives great. If you go with the tires, go with the shocks as well. Not sure how the stock shocks work, but im happy with the ones we have.

I'm using OME shocks and they are a huge improvement over my stock shocks or the Rubi's I ran for a while.
Side shot (I don't think I had the rear spacer in):
No other suspension changes here, but bigger tires. I've since chopped the fenders:

Both Jeeps have ~32" tires. The red Jeep ('09 X) has stock suspension other than a .75" spacer in front to help w/ the weight of the bumper and winch. The blue Jeep ('10 Sport) has #18 fronts and a 1" TF spacer, #56 rears and a .5" TF spacer. Compared to stock, it's 2.25" higher in front, 1.25" higher in the rear.
