Default Rubicon locking differential?

How does the electronic locking differentials on the Rubicon model stack up? Has anybody had significant problems with the rubicon model lockers?

I have a Sahara with ARB air locking differentials. No complaints thus far, except that the air hose melted due to it being routed through a hot spot.

Personnaly, I never had problems with the lockers, but I had a problem with the e-discos at 5000 km

I know people have had problems with them but talking with some non-jk 4 wheelrs they are actaully inmpress that jeep installed a 4 gear locker. I guess the cheapo versions have a 2 gear engagement. So the locker isn't horrible, it's just a matter of reliability trusting all those electronics.

You don't! That's why it was rated the way it was. It rates how much the locker interferes with street driving. A 5 street rating would be best as it is open diff or limited slip.
