Default Are Rubi rock rails also side steps ?

I have a 4" lift and a short wife, currently I have the side steps but also have the rock rails...can they also be useable side steps ?

when I looked at them it looked like they would hug the body to close to be used as steps, please correct me if I'm wrong!

Thanks,
Gobs

The rails are useless as steps. I'm afraid. They sit nearly flush against the body.

What he said.

There is another version that Mopar sells called 'Enhanced Rock Rails' which have a tubular bar welded on to the OEM Rubi rail. Those bars can act as a step.

Definitely the rails won't be a step for her. I don't remember the brand but there are some rock sliders that can be mounted facing up or down which acts like a step. I'm sure I saw them on quadratec or 4wd. com

You could use the rubicon rails which will give you protection and then just pick up a set of these.

Actually, he's got a prototype side step that he's working on getting into production if there's enough interest. There are some pics in this thread https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...t=57326&page=9

Still trying to convince him to produce these since my g/f is also height challenged.

Or you could give me your rock rails and then you'd have money to get new ones.
