4.10 w/285's or 33's....shift at 2000 or 2500...

3,500 at the least, over 4,000 RPM 1st through 4th.

It's not a diesel, rev it if you want any power.

I'm bouncing off the rev limiter in 4Lo all the time.
4.10 gears,rocktrack trans.

I do look for better than 10mpg when i'm on my daily commute. Hell with needing 'speed'.

You are right that 6th gear is fairly ueless unless you are going 75mph. Around town, relaxing, I shift right at 2000-2200rpms and conserve gas. Freeway merging and passing, I can rev up to 4500-5000rpm to get some power. The 3.21 are the softest gears and you really have to sit back and wait when you floor it. Takes a long time for power to build. That issue was non existent when I tried 4.10 gears.
now that im on 3.73's.. i gotta shift more towards 2800-3000. Don't like it a whole lot.
