Default retainer clips on wheel studs?

hey guys,

what exactly are the retainer clips on the wheel studs for? I have read to remove them before going aftermarket rims which is fine......but what do they do now? Any issues removing them prior to putting me new wheels on? (my wheels should be off friday and then put back on so figured maybe do it then?) and then pick up my new ones later.

thanks

The clips are for the assembly line so that the rotors don't fall off. That's all.

Oh god if you remove them your wheel will sheer off, babies will cry, and a deer in the middle of nowhere will get indigestion!

j/k, just to hold rotors on as they said :p

They definately have to be removed if you are using spacers.
