Default replacing fender flare side light...Help

I broke right fender flare side marker light. I ordered a new one online and when and as soon as I tried to replace it I realized that there in an inner plastic liner held by plastic rivets preventing access to the side marker. So my question has two parts:

Has anyone changed the Side flare and can guide me as to what to do.

Is there a place online when I can get a bunch of Mopar plastic rivets (parabaly good to have some extra one) and do I need a special tool to put them on.

thank you.

If you go to Quadratec's website, you can download the instructions for the Bushwacker fender flares. This is what I used when I had to remove mine. Its rather quite easy.

I have some extra clips so let me know what you need and I'll send them.

And no special tools needed. A door panel/trim tool remover makes life alot easier when removing the flares. You can get it at Advanced Auto Parts or Pepboys.

I broke mine, too. Post if you find an easy way to change it.

I should be able to change the light without removing the whole fender. If you look under the fender you'll se the inner plastic "liner" which is held in place by rivets, not clips. I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow to show what I mean...

run by any dealership type bodyshop- these rivets take a special tool to install, and the rivets are not easily available. Probably $10 bucks installed, in about 10 minutes......

just pop out the rivet at the front of the fender wth a screw driver.Have a second person hold the inner fender back and you will have access to the light. you can reuse the rivet.....You can look for directions for rugged ridge sidemarker covers it will show you the pictures of how to remove it. It is easy if you have two sets of hands.

Ditto that - as long as the temp is above 70 though - the plastic is more pliable when it's warm. I put on the Rugged Ridge guards and you have to separate the liner from the shell and when you do, you get open access to the marker light.

I held mine apart with a wood wedge while I installed the guard. If you work the rivets out acrefully, you can re-use them.

Default Rivets

You can buy the rivets at lowes. I found them yesterday so I can black out the markers.
