Removing Stock Decals
I was wondering if any of you guys out there have any tips on removing the decals (Jeep, Sahara, Unlimited, etc.) any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Use a hairdryer, or a heat gun on low heat... Get started on a corner of the decal with your nail or whatever, then warm the decal as you pull...
Clean up any residue with some Goo Gone or something like that...

its so hot in new orleans..last august i didnt need a heat gun and just pulled it off..used a little goo gone on the corners and voila!! no more decals!! except for my project jk one of course

Working in the medical field, people always had band-aids and tape from IVs and blood draws and such. I told my patients to use cooking oil to remove that black sticky crap from the spot. It works really well.
I don't know how alcohol would work on the Jeep body, but all it does on skin is dry the crap out of it... it didn't do much for the goo.

I used my fingernail to lift the end, then pulled a bit. Once I had the corner off, I used a spray bottle of liquid soap and water, and gently continued pulling. The entire decal came off.
Then I used a claybar with mequire's quick detail to clean the residue off. This was in July and it was pretty warm outside.

I appreciate all the tips. Got em off and cleaned up no problem. I wish it didn't snow so damn much today I would have liked to wash it up tomorrow. Damn u all in warm weather
