Default Removing rear window from hardtop

…anyone know how to remove the defroster tabs off the rear window???

I’m painting/insulating the interior and I wanna remove the window for prep. I’d also like to permanently remove the wiper arm, motor, and heating element off the glass…anyone have advice??

I used DupliColor truck bedliner...I may go with a flat paint on the back because the bedliner texture holds dirt and you can’t wipe it down. A lot of my interior is bedlined and it looks amazing, especially over the plastic...I'll keep you posted

I’m working on it now and will upload more pix as I go along.

I'm also going to paint the roof white to reflect more heat.

I might do a write-up when I finish. Here are some of my thoughts:

1. Reflects heat coming from the roof in the summer
2. Retains heat in the winter
3. Improves acoustics, i.e., sound system sounds a lot better, conversations clearer, and I can use my cell phone cruising down the highway.
4. Looks awesome

How did you make the styrofoam stick to the roof?

it's foamboard, foil-backed, i used commercial, high temp velcro purchased at a commercial fabric/upholstery store. They ran out and I can't find any locally so I'm looking at an adhesive product.
