Hello all. Just got my first new to me Jeep JKU a few months ago. 2008 4 door Sahara. I recently started having an issue with my remote start. It will crank and start but immediately stirs down even before the rpms get to idle. The only engine codes I have are the headlight and taillight voltage codes because of my LED’s. I have checked all of the doors and tailgate and ensured that they are shut all of the way. The interior lights also shut off when each door is shut like they should. I also check the hood switch which is in the correct position and seems to be operating properly. Anything else I can check for? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

Welcome to JKF.. You might have an issue remote module; it might be located in the column near the key cylinder.. 68209969AA RECEIVER, Control Module

I do not know how to test.. suggest search the NET for any possible testing and maybe a prior too.

 

If there is a check engine light on the remote start shuts off for me after like 2 or 3 seconds. If you have a light on reset it and see if you get the same.

 

It will also do this if the low fuel light is on.
