This one hits me in the side of the head. I haven't heard any complaints from the back seat. It seems like my 9 yr. old daughter or 13 yr. old son would pipe up. Hm-m-m?

Well, my pasengers were full sized adults, so it could be that the belt length is just about right for a 9-13 year old

I'm definitely going to look into the belt extenders... I'll add it to my list for my first trip back to the dealer.

I know this may sound stupid. But, make sure that the belt is not getting stuck behind the seatback after you had the seat folded flat.

I made the mistake and it was also attacking my rear seat occupants.

If I am not mistaken it is federal law that auto manufactures must provide seat belt extenders free of charge... Due to the fact that it would be discrimenation against the really large people or some thing like that but you may want to try that when you go to get your extenders

Just a thought

It sucks to get choked by the seatbelt, and having to listen to your kids complain about it.
One quick work around, use the chip bag clips - cheap plastic things and put that on the seat belt. It easily slides to adjust to your passenger.

I have a 2010 JKU and everyone that rides in the back complain non-stop. Anyone have any information on where to get these other than stealership? I hate my local place.

If you pull the back seat, seat belts to full extension they will continue to retract. This is a required safety feature. At full extension the belt "thinks" you are installing a child seat and it will continue to retract.

I had a thread on this a couple years ago, but it seems to have disappeared.
Here is a re-post:

Seat belt ratcheting was very annoying to my rear seat passengers on a 3 hour trip. They kept trying to ride un-belted on the sly.
This is what I came up with:
