Rear Seat Won't Fold Down

For some weird reason today when I went to fold down the single, smaller seat in my JK, it won't budge! When the rear headrest contacts the back of the drivers seat it just hangs up and won't fold back on itself. Tried for 30 minutes to try and get it to move but no luck.
Anyone else ever experience this? Any ideas? Very frustrating!

Ya, mine did this the other week - no matter what I tried the headrest wouldn't flip back. On searching this and my local JK website found it to be a known issue. Something about either the actuating cable getting stretched or slipping off. I just took the JK into jeep as needed the battery (buldging) and fuel tank components (slow fill) to be replaced under warrenty anyway. Jeep has put an order in for a new cable for the seat issue.

They are meant to fold when they contact the front seat. There is a physical problem.
Guess I'll have to drive to where I can get it fixed under warranty, that sucks (Autonation, not a dealer). Keep me updated if you remember.

There is a latch at the point that the headrest folds. There is a cable going to that latch. Either something has jammed the latch, or the cable is broken or has come loose. If you examine the other one (that works) while you're folding the seat, you should be able to see the latch working. Then, compare that to the one that doesn't work. You should be able to unlatch it with a screwdriver for temporary fix.
