Default Rear Seat Belt Spindle(?)

In the next few weeks I plan on building a low profile slide out drawer for the back of my JKU. I went ahead and removed the plastic trim pieces that are on the back corners/roll cage. This leaves the seat belt spindle mechanism exposed. Has anyone else done this? Any ideas on how to encapsulate and protect them? Here is what they look like now.

Could build a box from some sheet metal and use u-bolts or similar to hold that to the roll bar.

I think it really depends on what you want out of the covers and why you couldn't just use the stock covers.

I have thought about building something or having something built. On the 2013, that whole area is covered with one piece of plastic trim. The following link shows it: http://images.dealerrevs.com/gallery...hp?id=80595604 I those out as I don't have a sub, and they scratch easily/will be in the way of the drawer I build.
