so ive taken my JK wheeling 2 times... just twice on what would be considered nothing more then a dirt road. driving home from said dirt road Sunday afternoon my buddy hits me up on the radio to tell me my plate is almost ready to fall off.. i pull over at mcdonalds and find that the mounting screws for the licenses plate had come loose and the holder itself was hanging by the wires! Rattling around and scraped the paint off the back of my 1/4 panel!

Anyone think this should be covered by maintenance?

i guess i can add it to the list of crap to fix...

Defrost will not work - cant even select it - something in the dash is bound up
E brake mount is broken
now the dang license plat holder caused damage

its only got 11000 miles on it! its only 8 months old! im starting to loose my hopes on this thing! Ive got a 2002 grand with 78000 and a 1997 xj built to the hilt with 120000 and neither have had any problems... none that wernt self inflicted anyways.

they are easy to knock off. have seen a few members relocate theirs and just cover the hole. I might do the same as mines been knocked off twice

I've shattered mine twice pretty hard. Never came loose by itself though, even after the hits.

Why the histrionics? Just tighten it back up. Everything loosens with time, especially on an off road vehicle.
