Well add me to this list, drivers side started to rattle around and was driving me nuts, vinyl electrical tape and it is quiet for now. I still want chrysler to fix this properly, it is obvious they just have to re-design the striker loop.....basically that is what we have done with the tape.
Now to find someway to stop the windy-whistle sounds from the front of the
drivers freedom top panel,...not fitting right at all.

I put a piece of electrical tape on mine and it worked like a charm. THe noise was driving me nuts.
The Stricker is the metal loop on the body that the door grabs and releases when it is closed/open.

Hi guys
You'll be glad to know you are not alone - got the same problem on my JK here in England.
Been to the dealer who moved the striker on drivers side door (passenger side for US) and first bump I went over - clunk - there it is again! Also now having messed with my Jeep I now have a multi rattle/squeaking sound coming from what seems the pillar but extending beyond into the rear - as they have also tried again to fix my hard top leak, could this be them not installing it back in correctly or am I destined to live with this noise for ever???
Other problems have been no 4wd due to loose clip, water in my headlights when it rains and stalling when driving off which on a diesel is pretty impressive - NOT!
At the moment my 1942 MB seems to be more reliable than my 07 JK!

Did all my hinges with electrical tape. All four dours, and tailgate.
It's totally quiet now. Not a single peep even on the most uneven road.
It looks like the hoop for the latch allows a little to much movement of the door. That's it. As some have said, they have a replacement part. So put the tape on and go to the dealership to get the new part.
And after you install the new part, if it still makes noise, put some electrical tape on, and it's done.
I know some people have a problem about dealing with an issue like that, but when if costs next to nothing, sometimes a simple tip, or mod like this is better than any engineering mod they can make.
The bottom line you have to be happy with your vehicule.

just got mine back from the dealer after spending another 4 days in the shop. They replaced my strikers and the noise is gone, for now. They finally fixed something right, knock on wood. Lets see if the water leaks are still there.
