did they install the revised part numbers or just the original part numbers. Sounds like they replaced them with the old part.

I did the black tape thing and it fixed it right away, cheap fix.
How long will it last? Will see.

I just had the Krytox treatment done this morning. Let's see how long that lasts...If it comes back I'll just go back to using duct tape.

I'm not expecting it to fail, I'm just an optmist...

Got my New Revised Part number latches installed on Wednesday. Not a rattle and you can see there is a new metal bracket that goes around the striker. Its very well made compared to the old. Wish I had taken a before picture so I could compare them. I drove around today for 40 miles and there were no vibration or rattle issues. AWESOME and my dealer did it for free.

WOW! This is the best thread ever! I had all kinds of awful rattling noises which i thought were in my door pillars but after reading this post i just used 4 pieces of electrical tape and my jeep is like a brand new vehicle, completely silent!!

What's all of this about new latches? I have been to my dealer 3 times about this door rattle by seat beat harness and they have used that white grease on it to no avail, it works for a few weeks and comes back. Should I be asking for new latches? I would think they would of already brought to this to my attention?? thanks in advance!!

The only thing that seems to really work is the black plastic electrical tape. I taped mine last March and they have been quiet since.

Great thread, really thought it was the seat belt making the rattling noise. I even tightened the screws on the speakers. Couple raps around the striker with electrical tape no noise. Order the new parts 4589277AF & 4589277AG tonight and hoping I could do it myself without the dealer needing the old parts, thank you
